    Hungary is a popular destination for digital nomads with a well‑developed infrastructure for remote work and a relatively affordable cost of living. The Hungary White Card allows digital nomads to obtain a residence permit in the country and combine travelling within Europe with fulfilling their employment duties.

    What is a Hungary White Card?The Hungary White Card, or Digital Nomad Residence Permit, is for non-EU/EEA nationals working remotely for a foreign employer. It allows remote workers to live in Hungary for up to 2 years, with a visa-free gateway to the Schengen Area.
      Minimum income: €3,000/month (last 6 months)
      Savings required: €10,000
      Validity: 1 year, renewable once

    Cannot be extended further from inside Hungary

    Not eligible for permanent residency or citizenship.
